AIHHP members were again rewarded with commendations at the recent European Audiologists of the year awards. The commendation winners  were;

Will Parfitt of Broom Reid and Harris, Exeter, Devon.

Jo Rae of Hearing Healthcare Practice, Harpenden, Hertfordshire.

Martyn Scott of Hearing Aid Solutions, Carmarthen, Wales.

Nick Chitty of Oxford Hearing Centre, Oxford

AIHHP member Martyn Scott of Hearing Aid Solutions is the only audiologist in the UK to  win European Audiologist of the Year successive commendations. Recommendations from a number of his patients has resulted in Hearing Aid Audiologist Martyn Scott winning an industry award for the second year   running. Mr Scott, who runs Hearing Aid Solutions in Carmarthen, was presented with a certificate of commendation at the European Audiologist of the Year Awards held at Sunningdale, Berkshire.

Mr Scott said: “It’s wonderful to get the award again, and even more pleasing that nominations come from our patients. Like all AIHHP members we aim to give the highest possible level of service to our clients and this is the icing on the cake". Mr Scott also said " We are very proud to part of the AIHHP success story in these annual awards. Year on year the quality services of an AIHHP member shines through. From the hundreds of applications received by the oranisers this year, AIHHP had the overall European winner and a quarter of the National commendations. The support and aftercare AIHHP members offer our clients has proven to be the best once again".

The awards, run jointly by hearing aid battery maker Rayovac and Audio Infos Magazine, recognise audiologists and dispensers who go beyond the call of duty in the service they offer. Nominations for this year’s award doubled from last year. Out of these just 12 received commendations.

Mr Scott attended the ceremony with his wife Pippa, who is company secretary and  Clare Alderman, one of the firm’s Clinical Audiologists.
